That allowed me to hear the video that was being recorded to my computer but as I said above, the audio is not being saved as part of the project, when I play it back, no sound. Then I checked the box for 'listen to this device'. My camera could easily be the issue also. Make sure the driver for the USB 2.0 Video Capture Device is installed properly. I went into Control Panel / Hardware & Sound / Manage Audio Devices and double clicked on the USB line. Can use the button on the device to take still picture Capture and edit analogue video sources to MPEG 1/2 format on your hard disk. I will also enable the TBC today thanks for the tip on that! I'll probably mess with this for a few more days I know how to use Adobe Premiere as well so I could just download the audio separate from the video and then sync it up in a post, ideally I would want it to be one file it would make my life so much easier. I guess I don't hear audio when I'm capturing through vdub and I don't get video but I get audio when I capture through the vidbox software. Device manager now shows the two 'Realtek USB(2.0) Audio' devices for speakers and microphone and I can hear sounds in the Mixed Reality cliff house. I had to unscrew the headphone speakers and move the cable across, but it worked like it 's supposed to. Essentially on my camera, I can hear the audio just fine but when I go to get footage off it on vdub I only get the video off my camera and no audio. Once the warranty was checked the package arrived quickly. Sorry if I wasn't very clear about my audio problem. Thank you for the suggestions! I didn't know s-video only carried video however, yesterday when I tried to capture footage off my camera I tried s-video with audio plugs and was having the same issue.
